All Island Sports is a handicapped
sports league that provides competitive athletic opportunities for athletes
with disabilities.
All
Island Sports is open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 21+ with
mental and/or physical disabilities. Some examples of these include down syndrome,
cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, amputees, visual impaired, and spina bifida,
as well as able bodied siblings.
AIS
has special adaptive equipment and rules to give you the opportunity to compete
whether you are disabled or not.
Unlike
many other leagues, AIS does not restrict where members are from/where they
live. This means you can compete versus athletes from Nassau, Suffolk, Manhattan,
or anywhere else.
